![]() I checked it out and its a tube doing that. On certain frequencies, this amp starts to "rattle", but just the amp, so theres no buzz in the sound. How can i do that and what equipment do i need for it?Ģnd) Somethings buzzing in this amp and it seems to come from a tube. Ok, ive been playing this amp for a while now and i got some questions now.ġst) I heard about the possibility to "jump" this amp, since it got no channel switching. Make sure that all fuses (both inside the amp - if there are any - and the ones on the back panel) are secure and not blown, then get back to me Take a look at the fuses - again it's possible that if there are fuses inside on PCB-mount fuse holders then it might have come loose during transit. Blowing mains fuses is bad - might mean the power transformer is dead. It could also be the mains fuse, it is quite possible that the indicator bulb is located before the fuse. A sure sign of the filament fuse having blown is that the valves don't light up! ![]() ![]() With no voltage there, the cathodes won't emit electrons (as they're not heated) and therefore there will be no sound whatsoever. The filament voltage is the heater supply for the valves. All others are "optional" to the design). More often than not, these fuses aren't shown on the schematic (the only ones shown are the mains fuse - should be 5A - and the HT fuse - should be 1A because these are the "critical" ones. If so it sounds like the filament fuse is blown.
